Great base for walking, Coastal hopper service is excellent for combining with long walks along coastal path. Lots of local good eating places – Dun Cow – v good pub, dog-friendly and great atmosphere; Cookies – takeaway a bonus; Thai in Sheringham does a good Tuesday night buffet; The Moorings in Blakeney – delicious and high quality bistro – book!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Corner Cottage. The accommodation was first class and the situation of the cottage is absolutely perfect. The Dun Cow served good food and it was a blessing to be able to walk just 50 yards and find ourselves having a quiet meal.

Have had a wonderful few days at Corner Cottage. The location is perfect. Plenty of walking and playing on the beach – if a little cold! We’ve made the most of Cookie’s Crab Shop – crab sandwiches and crab linguini – excellent! The cottage is delightful – very homely and cosy. We would love a return visit. Thank you. Had a perfect week! The cottage was lovely; Salthouse was as peaceful as we hoped. The weather was better than we could have hoped for. Birding was excellent, with so many memories to take home. 112 species in one week. Highlights included glaucous gull, cattle egret, snow bunting, black bellied dipper, black brant, long-tailed duck and not forgetting the lovely barn owl. Finally thanks to Winnie for making the cottage clean and warm for our arrival. D & J, London

We have enjoyed our four days here very much. The cottage is very cosy and comfortable with everything we needed. Just one suggestion – it would be a great help if there was one, or maybe even two, handrails for the stairs (for us “oldies”)! Winnie had left the cottage very clean and tidy when we arrived and called in to see if we were ok. We hope to return sometime. Thank you. Georgina and family.

An excellent weekend with two cloudless days. A successful first time away with Bruno our cocker spaniel. Lovely not to go shopping, working, cleaning etc for 3 days. Hopefully we will be back. Ian, Sue and Widge

Lovely, comfortable cottage and a great few days. The walk from here to Sheringham is great and catch the bus back. Holt is a pretty town to walk around. The deli in Cley is a worthwhile visit. Great meals at the Dun Cow. Very happy. Sue
We have had a lovely time! Can recommend Cookie’s Crab Shop. Bean’s seal trips from Morston, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, feeding the ducks, geese and swans down the lane a bit. The men have loved making a fire each night, and the women have loved the men making a fire each night! Thanks to Winnie for a warm welcome. Maggie and friends.

Our family of 2 adults, two 11 month old girls, and a boy of 10, all had a great stay in Salthouse. The cottage was well-equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean, as well as in a great location. The baby equipment was also a big help for our girls, who went in the sea for the first time this week. Thanks very much. Patrick and family, Stockport
Our latest visit to Norfolk again after about 10 years and still plenty to see. Had marvellous weather and spent quite a lot of time on the beaches around the area. Had a great holiday, thank you. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. Although well-equipped, a hairdryer would have been useful. The Dun Cow was good value, and very accommodating for families. Cookies Crab Shop was disappointing – both the food and despite booking it was still overcrowded at weekday lunchtime. Good walks, great beaches, and fortunate to have good weather. A very positive introduction to North Norfolk, thank you. The Trethewey family.

Lovely cottage, beautiful peaceful village. The book about Salthouse is fascinating. Good meal at the Dun Cow – should have taken a torch though! A handrail on the stairs would have been nice, and some more hanging space.

It was nice to come back to a part of the world we know well and we enjoyed our stay. Cottage is pleasant but why no stair rails? Special thanks for Winnie’s help.
